The official website Pokémon.com U.S. has announced a tournament dedicated to video games of the license, called Pokemon Video Game World Championships! This as the name suggests a global tournament that will play on Pokémon Platinum exclusively. You thought that only the United States would be involved? It is nothing!
The site explicitly states that it will take place in Europe too, and hopes that several events will take place in France and all French-speaking countries. The winners will leave with the chance to participate in the finals to be held in the United States, 14 and 15 August 2009, San Diego (California).
It seems logical that the ad deal to the desire coordination logic in large-scale events of the license, because there is already a long time since the Pokémon TCG World Championships, which take place each year. It would therefore appear that the same for these championship games, and one can only welcome the initiative of an event which will undoubtedly be much more than its follow-up dedicated to playing cards.
As for rules, we talk and sleep already fighting in 2vs2 with a Pokémon up to level 50, all this I recall playing on Pokémon Platinum.
We therefore awaits clarification from the side, we think Nintendo of Europe to give us more details about the European qualifiers, and those of other regions, like Canada and others. It keeps you in any way aware of this good news! : o)
